Suggested kit list:

• PC, Laptop or Mobile device

• Paper, felt tips and pencils

• Scarf/necker

• Teddy Bear

• Blankets

• Pillows

• Torch

Rhythms in music

Participants will need instruments, either bought or home-made.


Pasta/rice/dried peas in plastic containers work well as shakers; saucepans/plastic tubs/wastepaper bins work well as drums; various kitchen utensils make great bell and block sounds. Get creative!

Ingredients for cooking dinner with Shiny Kitchen

Dish: Carbonara

Serves: 4

  • 100g pancetta/ bacon/ mushrooms

  • 100g parmesan/ vegetarian hard cheese/ dairy free alternative

  • 3 large eggs

  • 350g spaghetti/ GF spaghetti

  • 50g butter/ dairy free alternative

  • Black pepper

  • Large saucepan

  • Large frying pan/wok

  • Cheese grater

  • Cereal bowl

  • Fork

Bedtime Story

Nick Jones is an award-winning children’s author living in Congleton, Cheshire. He wrote Sarah’s Shadow in 2017 and it won Best Children’s Picture Book on the international book review site Readers’ Favourite.

He will be reading Sarah's Shadow for our Beavers bedtime story. If you wish to purchase the book to read along with him you can get it here:

Please note badges will be sent out after the event depending on the lead time of production.
